• Baltimore City Scholars Award

  The Baltimore City Scholars Award is designed to provide scholarship support for incoming or current students at UMB who graduated from a high school in Baltimore City. The scholarship will assist students as they pursue their education. Applicants must be enrolled in a degree-granting program at UMB, have graduated from a high school in Baltimore City, be in good academic standing, and demonstrate financial need.

  The UMB CURE Scholars Program is a groundbreaking year-round program that seeks to prepare middle school and high school students in West Baltimore for competitive and rewarding research, health care, and STEM-related career opportunities.

  With a focus on academic and career success, UMB CURE Scholars has set the path toward empowering students in Baltimore’s underserved and vulnerable communities. The program is committed to mentoring and training students toward high academic achievement, college and career readiness, and a competitive and a rewarding future.

  By introducing students to these fields at a young age, UMB CURE Scholars hopes to inspire dedication to higher education and STEM careers that will uplift the students and their community and help alleviate medical and educational disparities.
